Variety Vs. Consistency

It is a constant in life that opposites go always hand in hand. In that statement there is already alignment, which is already a contradiction in itself (how can opposites be aligned?). The foundation of the universe is opposites, polarities. There is no universe in unity, only eternity. Eternity is beyond the universe. You may think that this is way too far fetched or philosophical, but what is life if one doesn't think? I think, therefore I am - someone said 🙂

The Power of your Tongue

There is one curious piece of information that has stayed with me from my years as a singing student. Such thing is this: "Your tongue is the biggest obstacle to Singing, yet it is one of the most powerful muscles in your body". And no wonder, as the tongue is highly responsible for holding our head upright, forming all the subtleties of our language, and helping digest our food. The tongue (the tongue is actually a group of 8 muscles), together with the diaphragm and the larynx (what a coincidence, the main Singing muscles!) are the only skeletal muscles that can function independently from the skeleton, that means you can move them without moving your 'frame', without being noticed.

Voice & Vagina

For me, Singing has always been a deep task. Emotional as well as physical. The fulfillment one experiences while on a high when singing, is scaringly similar to what happens during the sexual act. One feels abundance, glory, a vessel that has been fulfilled thanks to the right vibrations (and what is the sound of voice, if not vibration?).

Listening & Movement

Sound is Movement. Frequency moves. Movement sounds. How is your posture and how is your breathing when you are listening? In which ways can your listening (active attention) improve your hearing (sense)? It often happens that we hear a lot of things but we aren't listening. Our body movement, and where we place our tensions, is closely linked to that.
